Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Jan. 22

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Jan. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017:

Raymond public intoxication
On Monday,  Jan. 16 at 8:31 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 613 regarding a intoxicated female. A report was taken and the case was closed.

Oakhurst theft from business
On Monday,  Jan. 16 at 9:27 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Oak Park Way to investigate a report regarding a theft of tools and pressure washer from a business. Upon arrival statements were obtained from employees. At the time there were no suspect(s) or investigative leads. Case to be suspended. See narrative for details.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Monday,  Jan. 16 at 10:28 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service via phone regarding a theft of mail at Serpa Canyon and Hwy 41. Report taken and case closed.

Coarsegold person in distress
On Monday,  Jan. 16 at 1:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Person Loop North regarding an adult male fighting with family members. While the deputies were en route, it was further reported the male suffered with mental problems and began hitting himself. The male was placed on a mental health evaluation hold, and transported to a hospital by ambulance for a mental health evaluation. Case to be
closed.

Wishon robbery
On Monday,  Jan. 16 at 1:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 35000 block of Highland Drive East regarding an attempted robbery that occurred about 30 minutes prior to the call. The deputy was unable to locate a suspect. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst request for assistance
On Monday,  Jan. 16 at 5:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Winding Way to assist EMS. Forced entry was made due to the patient’s condition. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst paraphernalia found
On Monday,  Jan. 16 at 6:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Bridge Road regarding found narcotic paraphernalia. The item was collected for destruction. Case closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Tuesday,  Jan. 17 at 2:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Lilly Mountain Drive regarding a cold residential burglary. There were no witnesses or leads. One palm latent print was located for booking as evidence. Report is to be forwarded to the ID tech for review of the latent print.

Oakhurst theft from business
On Wednesday,  Jan. 18 at 8:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-49 regarding theft of two tarps behind the business. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst Vandalism
On Wednesday,  Jan. 18 at 8:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Road 426 regarding vandalism to a vehicle. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst stolen motorcycle chase, crash, arrest
On Wednesday,  Jan. 18 at 2:02 p.m. a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a dirt bike on CA-41 near Hodges Hill. The suspect attempted to flee at a high rate of speed on CA-41. The subject drove up a dirt embankment into the brush and fled on foot. A foot pursuit ensued and the suspect was caught in the brush. The dirt bike was previously reported stolen. Technique Towing arrived and recovered the dirt bike. The subject was arrested and and transported to MDOC without incident.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Wednesday,  Jan. 18 at 8:52 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 38000 block of CA Highway 41 regarding a subject banging on apartment doors. CHP assisted and located a subject walking northbound on Highway 41 in the area. CHP contacted the subject and determined he was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. When deputies arrived they took custody of the subject and booked him into the Madera County Jail for public intoxication. Report was forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed on Press.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Wednesday,  Jan. 18 at 11:36 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Hogans Mountain Road near CA 41. The driver was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Madera County. The driver was issued a citation and released. Case closed.

Oakhurst burglary
On Thursday,  Jan. 19 at 7:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 36000 Teaford Poyah regarding a vehicle burglary. The victim requested a report for documentation because her purse was stolen. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

North Fork public intoxication
On Thursday,  Jan. 19 at 7:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 33000 block of Road 222 in regards to a drunk subject. The subject was arrested and booked for public intoxication. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Oakhurst surveillance cameras stolen
On Thursday,  Jan. 19 at 10:13 a.m. a deputy received a report of the theft of surveillance cameras on the 39000 block of Road 425b in Oakhurst. Report taken.

Oakhurst identity theft
On Thursday,  Jan. 19 at 1:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to identity theft. A report taken. Close the case.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday,  Jan. 19 at 1:40 p.m. a deputy received a report of a possible theft of bicycle in 30000 block of Big Sandy Dr. Report taken.

Oakhurst eviction conflict
On Thursday,  Jan. 19 at midnight a deputy was dispatched to 39000 Pine Ridge Road regarding a subject who had been evicted in November 2016 and came back to the residence. She was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday,  Jan. 20 at 2:46 a.m. deputies responded to the 46000 Blk of Lucky Lane for a report of an intoxicated subject. The subject was contacted and it was determined that he was unable to care for himself and there was no one that could be located to look after him. He was arrested and booked into DOC on public intoxication charges.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday,  Jan. 20 at 9:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 West View Drive regarding a subject who wanted to kill herself. EMS arrived on scene and the subject was transported to Madera Community Hospital for mental health evaluation. Refer report closed

Raymond property found
On Friday,  Jan. 20 at 9:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 Road 612 in regards to found property. A report was taken. Close the case.

Coarsegold welfare check on elderly person
On Friday,  Jan. 20 at 9:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Happy Hollow Road regarding an elderly female not answering the telephone. Deputy forced entry into the residence and located the elderly female. She was examined by EMS. The report taken for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst attempted fraud
On Friday,  Jan. 20 at 10:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 50000 Dovewood Lane regarding an attempted fraud case. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Ahwahnee mail theft
On Friday,  Jan. 20 at 4:53 a deputy was dispatched to the block of 43000 Leach Road regarding theft of two packages from a mail box cluster. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Saturday,  Jan. 21 at 8:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 417 and CA-41 in regards to an intoxicated male adult. Upon arrival, the male subject was contacted standing on the side of the roadway. The male was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest. Report to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Ahwahnee found bike
On Saturday,  Jan. 21 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Hwy 49 iregarding a found bike. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday,  Jan. 21 at 4:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 59000 block of Pierce Lake Drive regarding stolen property. Report taken and case closed.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Sunday,  Jan. 22 at 12:51 a.m. a deputy responded to the 54000 block of Road 432 regarding a physical family disturbance. During the investigation it was determined all parties were mutually involved and no parties wished to file charges against one another. This case is to be closed.

Coarsegold residential disturbance
On Sunday,  Jan. 22 at 1:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 31000 block of Delaware Road regarding a report of an incomplete 911 call. During the investigation it was determined the issue was between a male and female who lived together in a committed relationship. The incident did not amount to a criminal offense, but was documented for information only. This case has been closed.

Bass Lake theft
On Sunday,  Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 in regards to a theft report. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted and his statement was obtained. Two neighbors were also contacted and spoken with. Case to be suspended.
