Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Apr. 30

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Apr. 24 to Sunday, Apr. 30, 2017:

Coarsegold motor vehicle stop
On Monday, Apr. 24 at 2:16 a.m. a deputy made a traffic stop in the area of CA-41 and Lucky Lane regarding false tabs. The driver was cited and the vehicle was impounded. Case closed.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Monday, Apr. 24 at 10:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Road 425C in regard to a Coroner’s case. Upon arrival EMS and next of kin were contacted. Death appears to be natural. Report was written and forwarded to the Deputy Coroner for further investigation.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Monday, Apr. 24 at 7:42 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Monday, Apr. 24 at 1:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of road 417 regarding a suspicious vehicle. Occupants of the vehicle were found on private property. Search of vehicle yielded suspected methamphetamine. Possessor of suspected methamphetamine was issued a citation and released. Report was written.

Coarsegold vehicle stop and arrest
On Monday, Apr. 24 at 11:54 p.m. a deputy was patrolling in the area of CA-41 and Rocky Cut when a vehicle was stopped for a vehicle code violation. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended drivers license, two out-of-county misdemeanor warrants, was a felon in possession of ammunition and in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was subsequently transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst report of child endangerment
On Tuesday, Apr. 25 at 5:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 49000 block of Pierce Drive regarding a report of a possible child endangerment incident. During the investigation it was determined no crime had occurred. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Apr. 25 at 7:49 p.m. a deputy contacted a female during a previous investigation at a residence located within the 49000 block of Pierce Drive. It was later determined the female (arrestee) had an out-of-county misdemeanor, no-bail warrant for her arrest. The deputy contacted the arrestee once again at her residence, confirmed the warrant was valid and placed her into custody. This case has been cleared by arrest.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Wednesday, Apr. 26 at 8:01 a.m. a deputy received a phone report regarding theft from a mailbox cluster from the area of Road 417 and Apache Road. A report was taken. Close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

North Fork verbal disturbance and arrest
On Wednesday, Apr. 26 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Mission Drive regarding a verbal disturbance. Pictures were taken and a report was written. A suspect was arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to Madera County DA to pursue charges.

Coarsegold missing person
On Wednesday, Apr. 26 at midnight a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 Douglas Road South regarding a missing person. A report was taken for documentation. Refer report to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst robbery of juvenile by juveniles
On Wednesday, Apr. 26 at 12:15 p.m. a deputy was advised by a student that a 7th grade student was assaulted and robbed after school yesterday by two 9th graders on the trail near Sierra Telephone yard and the Fresno River. The possible victim was not initially identified nor were the two suspects. The School Resource Deputy started an investigation into incident. The Deputy was able to identify the victim and suspects involved after additional follow-up and interviews. One juvenile suspect was arrested and transported to Madera County Juvenile Hall without incident. On Apr. 27 the second juvenile suspect was arrested and transported to Madera County Juvenile Hall. This case was forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation for charges.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Wednesday, Apr. 26 at 1:41 p.m. a deputy conducted a pedestrian check of a female in the area of CA 41 and Road 416. The female subject had three local outstanding arrest warrants. The female was cited to appear in court. Close the case.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Wednesday, Apr. 26 at 11:21 p.m. a deputy contacted an intoxicated subject in the 40000 block of CA 41. The male subject was determined to be unable to care for his own safety and arrested. The subject also had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Subject was booked at Madera County Department of Corrections. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office.

Coarsegold narcotics citation
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 3:05 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check on CA-41 and Road 207. An adult male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and hypodermic needles. The subject was released with a citation. All evidence was collected and booked at the Sheriff’s office. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold newspaper theft
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 6:25 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 28000 Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding theft of newspapers from a Fresno Bee dispenser. Report taken for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Ahwahnee noose on balcony
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 6:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of CA-49 regarding a noose located on a balcony. A report was written for documentation purposes.

O’Neals juvenile sending lewd photo of another juvenile
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 11:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 46000 Road 200 regarding a 12-year-old juvenile who was sent a lewd picture from another 12 year old juvenile. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 12:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Stone Creek Drive regarding a Coroner’s report. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner

North Fork restraining order violation
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 12:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Tera Tera Ranch Road regarding a violation of restraining order. A neighbor was cited and released for blocking movements. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges.

Coarsegold patron banned from casino returns
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 2:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 46000 Lucky Lane regarding a subject who was banned from the casino. Casino Security Staff advised that the subject was not disturbing the peace while there. The subject was arrested and later released. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst narcotics citation
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 11:03 p.m. deputies stopped and contacted a male subject on a bicycle on Road 426 and Civic Circle. The male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. All evidence was collected and booked at the sheriff’s office. The subject was cited and released. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office.

Coarsegold Coroner’s case
On Friday, Apr. 28 at 10:01 a.m. a deputy was called to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold vandalism to mailboxes
On Friday, Apr. 28 at 10:21 a.m. a deputy received a phone report regarding a vandalized mail box cluster at Gold Creek Road and Rd 415. A report was taken for documentation. Close the case.

Raymond possible child abuse call
On Friday, Apr. 28 at 12:11 p.m. detectives were made aware of a possible child abuse case involving a 13-year-old female and a 10-year-old male. A preliminary investigation was conducted, no arrest were made during this time. A forensic interview will follow the initial investigation. Initial report written, case is pending further investigation.

Ahwahnee child welfare check
On Thursday, Apr. 27 at 1:13 p.m. deputies were dispatched for a child welfare check. For the safety of the children it was determined to place a safety hold on them. The children were turned over to Child Protective Services. A report was written for this incident.

Raymond disturbance and motorcycle violations
On Friday, Apr. 28 at 2:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Front Street regarding a disturbance. The deputy responded and contacted the subject who was causing the problems. A motorcycle was towed and a citation issued for motor vehicle violations.

Oakhurst missing juvenile
On Saturday, Apr. 29 at 12:02 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 427 regarding a missing juvenile. It was determined the reporting party had last talked to her son at 4:15 p.m. when he got home from school and has not heard from him since. The juvenile had made plans with his mother to go to Taco Bell and to the cinemas but did not return home. There was no information regarding who the juvenile might have been with. A missing persons report was taken on the juvenile.

Coarsegold vehicle burglary
On Saturday, Apr. 29 at 8:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a vehicle burglary. A report was taken. Close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold burglary
On Saturday, Apr. 29 at 3:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Long Hollow Drive regarding a residential burglary. A report was taken and no evidence was located on scene. Close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst landlord-tenant issue
On Saturday, Apr. 29 at 3:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Road 426 regarding a civil landlord-tenant issue. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

North Fork abandoned vehicle and narcotics
On Saturday, Apr. 29 at 5:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Wyle Ranch Road regarding a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was located abandoned on the property. Evidence was collected from the scene and a report was written. This case will be forwarded to Detective Dorr for follow up investigation.
