Man Wanted For Allegedly Targeting Teens With Lewd Photos

MADERA COUNTY – Sheriff’s detectives‬ are attempting to locate Brandon Johns, 29, of Madera County, for felony charges of emailing harmful materials including lewd photos to seduce a minor, and for annoying phone calls.

Investigators have identified 46 teenage girls as victims in this case, according to the Sheriff’s Office, and detectives believe there may be more in Madera County.

The Sheriff’s Office says investigators believe that Johns is using his name, along with several aliases, to trick teenage girls into responding to his calls and messages.

ABC-30 reported in February that Johns had been arrested at his home in Madera County on charges of emailing lewd photos to seduce a minor, and making annoying for calls. Detectives reportedly said Johns targeted his victims through Facebook, obtaining extensive background information on the underage girls via the internet.

Parents are reminded to counsel children and teens about the dangers of posting personal information on social media.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Brandon Johns or who believes they may be a victim in this case, is asked to call Madera County Sheriff’s Office at (559) 675-7770.
