MADERA – Madera County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) is reporting 190 new cases for the week ending Aug. 28, 2020 bringing the total cases to 3,674.
According to the MCDPH dashboard there are 362 active cases including 18 Madera County residents hospitalized in Madera County, with 2,994 recovered and 54 deceased to date.
Reporting area D which includes the following zip codes, 93601, 93604, 93614, 93626, 93636, 93643, 93644, 93645, and 93669 with a total population of of 40,031 has 245 reported cases.
372 were contracted through person to person with 210 community spread. Two are travel-related, and 3,090 are still under investigation.
There have been a total of 38,688 tests results with 35,014 testing negative out of a population of 157,327 (2019 US Census Bureau.)
