Logger's Jamboree Kickoff Dinner Tonight

NORTH FORK – Tonight is the 54th Annual Mid-Sierra North Fork Loggers Jamboree Kick-off Dinner at the Town Hall.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., entertainment begins at 5:45, and dinner will be served at 6:00. This year’s theme is “From Tree to You.”

The Loggers Jamboree is Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7, at the North Fork Recreation Center, and all proceeds from the event go to support the Summer Youth Program.The Kick-off Dinner is a chance to meet the contestants competing for the titles of Queen, Princess and Little Logger. The winner earns the title by selling the most tickets to the Jamboree, and the 2013 contestants will be presented tonight at 7 p.m.

2012 winners were:

Queen – Crystal Piotrowoski

Princess – Sidney Frausto

Little Logger – John Quigley

Jean Butterfield, local singer and songwriter who has just released her new CD “Brothers in Time,” will be performing during dinner.

Tickets are $25 per couple, $15 per person, and $5 for children age 12 and under.
