Live Oak Fire, Mariposa

MARIPOSA, CA. – The Live Oak Fire that started on May 27th, 2021 off of  Live Oak Rd in the Yaqui Gulch area west of Mormon Bar in Mariposa County is being reported at 25% containment as of 8:00 am this morning.

The fire has burned approximately 250 acres with the cause still under investigation.  No evacuations have been ordered at this time.

Fire advisory remains in effect for Yaqui Gulch Rd. from Live Oak Rd. to Hwy. 140. All of Live Oak Rd. Hwy 140 from Yaqui to Bumgardner Rd.

This is not an evacuation order, it is an advisory of fire in the area that has the potential for evacuations should conditions change.

The only road closures at this time are Yaqui Gulch Rd. from Hwy. 140 to Guadalupe Creek Rd.
