OAKHURST – Love the look of holiday lights but not looking forward to getting out the ladder to put up your Christmas display this year? The nonprofit and always-busy Boys & Girls Club of Oakhurst (BGC) has a great idea for area businesses in a clear case of win-win.
“Get into the holiday spirit and light up Oakhurst. We’ll do all the work!” say organizers, who will hang holiday lights for a great price, with proceeds going to the local BGC.
A contingent of helpers from the BGC are installing lights this week in advance of the Oakhurst Community Tree Lighting event on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Talking Bear corner of Highway 41 and Road 426.
Sponsors include Sierra Tel and Century 21 Ditton Realty.
The cost is $15 per 24-foot light strand, plus a $10 donation to the BGC. Take-down after the holiday is a $10 donation and $2 per light strand. It’s not too late to make your request. For more information contact Lanie Suderman at (559) 683-4636 or email Lanie@YosemiteThisYear.com.
