Letter To The Editor: Vince Kehoe For Assessor-Recorder

The position of Mariposa County Assessor-Recorder is on the ballot in June. The incumbent is not running. This is important because the office of Assessor-Recorder is an essential part of county government, responsible for maintaining land records and valuing property for tax purposes, as well as administering various exemption and exclusion programs. The Assessor-Recorder is a fundamental office in the entire financial system of the county.

We’ve known Vince Kehoe and his wife Lisa for over thirty years in various capacities, both personal and in business. Vince Kehoe is rooted in this community and has contributed to it in many ways: as Executive Director of Yosemite Institute, as a Vice-President of the local bank, as a real property appraiser and small business owner. He is involved in the community as a member of the local Rotary Club, and serves on the Planning Commission and Assessment Appeals Board.

Vince has demonstrated a commitment to this community, has the professional and personal experience necessary for the job, and the honesty and integrity that we all rightfully expect from our elected officials.

When we go to vote in June, we will be marking our ballot for Vince Kehoe for Assessor-Recorder.

Joan and John McCamman
