Last Chance To Complete LCAP Survey For YHS

OAKHURST – Anyone in the community with an interest in education is encouraged to complete the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) for Yosemite High School (YHS), and school officials note this is the last chance to do so.

YHS Vice Principal Diane Adney reminds all parents and students to go to the YHS website and take a few minutes to complete the LCAP Survey.

“LCAP requires that we have input from parents, students and staff by Wednesday, Apr. 22, as we build our plan for next year,” Adney explains.

The purpose of the LCAP Survey is to allow parents, teachers, staff members and the community the opportunity to provide input into the Local Control Accountability Plan. Each school district must address its goals and strategies for improving achievements for all students. The plan must detail how funds will be used to increase and improve services for specific student populations.

The school needs public input to ensure they’re on the right track in terms of parent, student, teacher and community wants and needs. The LCAP spells out the district’s strategy and goals and the school district then must develop a budget that matches spending to the goals outlined in the plan.

“The success of our students has an impact on every resident, employee and business owner in this community,” the administration says. “Please complete this survey and have a voice.”
