Ladies of the Lake Fashion Show

COARSEGOLD — Stepping onto the runway for a very special cause, local volunteers and special guests will model best practices in fashion at a special event coming up soon. Ladies of the Lake women’s club in Yosemite Lakes Park invites the community to a fashion show for charity on Saturday, June 11 at the Yosemite Lakes Park Clubhouse.

“Fashions from Barbara’s on 4th Street in Clovis are a perfect fit,” say organizers. “The clothes are lovely, made in the USA and Canada, and pack very well. Julie Herring, the owner, is a very savvy fashionista and as MC of our show will be fantastic.”

Tickets are $15 each for the show that starts at 2:30 p.m., with doors open at 1: 30 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit the Ladies of the Lakes scholarship fund for high school seniors. One-time recipient and Fresno Bee reporter Carmen George will participate in the fashion show, say those behind the scenes. Also on hand will be Layton Gillette, who will model men’s golf fashion.

“There will also be some fun fashion for young ladies from Sierra Mercantile in Oakhurst,” say those who know. The Blue Heron Lounge will be open for guests to purchase beer and wine. Music will be provided by Jimmie Lee, and door prize gifts furnished by Macy’s.

“Come join the fun and support local high school graduates!”

The deadline for reservations is June 1.

Contact Sue Corcoran at (559) 658-7307 for reservations.
