KRYZ Community Radio Launch Party

KRYZ Radio LOGO MARIPOSA — Have you ever wanted to be on the radio, or go behind the scenes in a public radio station? Here’s your chance to learn. KRYZ Mariposa Community Radio, which broadcasts locally in and around Mariposa at 98.5 FM, and streams over the internet at www.kryzradio.org, invites the community to a launch party on Friday, Apr. 1 starting at 6 p.m. at the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors’ meeting room.

The party will feature an introduction by the KRYZ Radio team, the history and mission of the station, how the community can get involved, a question and answer session, and a live demonstration on how to produce a show. Come to the party to support your local radio station, say organizers, or to become a member of the KRYZ Radio Team.

KRYZ Mariposa Community Radio is a non-profit public community radio station, streaming worldwide on the internet at www.kryzradio.org and broadcasting locally in the Mariposa area at 98.5 FM from its studio in the Offline Solar building on Highway 49 North in Mariposa.

KRYZ’s Launch Party will feature a meet-and-greet with the KRYZ Radio Team, the history and vision of the station, presentations by current radio program hosts, a question and answer session, live demonstrations with audience participation of the software used to produce a show — much of which can be done from home using open source software — and more.
