MADERA COUNTY – You are invited to join a fabulous trip of history and beauty sponsored by the Coarsegold Historical Society and hosted by experienced travelers Jack and Kay Good.
Leaving on Mar. 14, 2015, (not 2014) from Fresno and returning Mar. 25, the trip includes 10 nights on a deluxe river boat with visits to many historic towns and cities in France along the Seine River, traveling from Paris to Normandy and return to Paris on the boat.
Experience Paris, Giverny (Monet’s home), Vernon, Rouen, the Abbey of St. Wandrille de Fontenelle, Honfleur, a full day of Normandy and the D-Day landmarks, the Bayeux Tapestry and Les Andelys.
You may click on the first link below to view a video of the trip. The second link is the description of the ship and its amenities. The ship is comfortable, the dining divine, the programs onboard interesting–informative–and fun!
The price of the trip is all-inclusive with (1) airfare from Fresno, (2) airport to ship and return transfers, (3) meals and (4) most sight-seeing tours. To determine the full price of the tour, pick the cabin category you desire and to that price add $1,399 for economy airfare from Fresno. At this time, it is planned to fly from Fresno to San Francisco and then non-stop to Paris. This air itinerary is not absolute, as the flight schedules have not been set this far in advance.
Our group price is $200 lower than the standard pricing shown on the normal Vantage website. Additional savings of 10% can be obtained by prepaying for the total trip by Mar. 19, 2013. Thus, it pays to plan ahead for this wonderful trip! (Note that the 2014 trip sponsored by CHS was sold out by October 2014.)
