MARIPOSA – The John C Fremont Healthcare District is offering three upcoming events to help everyone live better, healthier lives.
The Living Well Series is meant for individuals who are dealing with chronic pain. The goal is to provide people with alternative methods to deal with their pain – be free from pain and free from addiction.
This series was developed by the Live Free Initiative of Mariposa County.
Jenny Kiser, owner of Mountain Fitness Gym, will present “Pain Management Through Movement” on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to noon at 5300 Highway 49 in Mariposa.
Eliza Kerr, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, will discuss the root cause and treatment of chronic pain on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the same location.

In celebration of Healthy Aging Month there will be a Lunch and Learn event on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Center located at 5246 Spriggs Lane in Mariposa. Lunch will be provided and space is limited so please RSVP by Sept. 13 by calling 209-966-5315.
On Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., JCF will hold their first ever Mammos, Mocktails and ManiCures. The event is geared towards women who are age 40 and older and who have not had a mammogram within the past year, but all are welcomed as there will be various vendors present.
