Jamboree Queen And Court Raise Funds For Youth Program

The Loggers Jamboree Queen and Court contest is designed as a fundraiser for the Summer Youth Program at the Recreation Center each summer.Queen Candidate Crystal Piotrowski 2012

This provides the children of our community a fun and safe place to gather during those long hot summer days. It also provides free lunch and a lifeguard in the swimming area.

Whichever contestant in their category sells the most pre-sale tickets to the Jamboree is crowned Loggers Jamboree Queen, Lil’ Princess or Lil’ logger. The winners’ responsibilities include volunteering their time at the Jamboree, the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast and promoting the following year’s events.

Our reigning Queen is Aurora Middleton, our Lil’ Princess is Tea’ Wilson and Lil’ Logger is Marshall Lavell-Curtiss. Aurora sold 1,520 tickets last year bringing in $3,040. Tea’ sold 1,020 tickets bringing in $2,040. Marshall sold 798 tickets bringing in $1,596 to the North Fork Boosters.

The contestants are the only source for pre-sale tickets for the Jamboree and the North Fork Boosters depend on them to raise the funds necessary to continue operating the Summer Youth Program. Pre-sale tickets are only available until Friday, June 29, 2012. Please help support the Loggers Jamboree and the Summer Youth Program by purchasing pre-sale tickets from our contestants this year.

Pre-sale tickets are only $2. If you buy at the gate, they are $5. Children under 12 are free. The ticket is for Sunday’s events and is also a raffle ticket for many exciting gate prizes.

For information contacting a contestant for tickets or if you are interested in becoming a contestant next year, call Sheri at 559-841-8488.

A huge “Thank You” to all the contestants for their participation in this community event.
