OAKHURST – You don’t need to wag your tail or wiggle your whiskers to join in the fun at Oakhurst Feed and Pet Supply’s official Grand Opening Party — but it helps!
Under the ownership of siblings Beth Trenchard and Charlie Loucks, and with the help of Beth’s son Daniel Trenchard, folks in the locally-owned shop are determined to satisfy customers as they service the needs of our animal-loving foothill communities. The pawfectly fantastic grand opening event is set for Saturday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — and the celebration will likely take place indoors.
Guests will be eligible for door prizes and raffle drawings, as well as delicious tri-tip sandwiches ($6) and hot dogs ($3), all while supplies last. Music, vendors and various presentations will round out the family-friendly occasion.
Both Beth and Charlie have decades of retail experience. After graduating from Mariposa High School in 1986, Beth went to work the very next day for the Curry Company in Yosemite, continuing her employment when Delaware North took over as the concessionaire in 1993. She spent seven years as manager of a Pet Smart near Phoenix and is delighted to be back in the mountain area.
“Just let us know what you want, and we’ll do our best to get it for you,” says Beth.
Oakhurst Feed and Pet Supply is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
