OAKHURST – A crash on Highway 41 this morning in Oakhurst was a rude disruption of a trip for a tourist from the United Kingdom.
Steve Bomford, from the UK, was northbound in a rented 2013 Chevy Captiva just north of El Cid Restaurant at about 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, July 18.
Yvonne Cann, 75, of Los Angeles, was southbound in a 2009 Mercedes when, for unknown reasons, she crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with Bomford.
According to CHP, Cann’s collar bone was broken in the impact, and Bomford complained of pain to the chest. Both were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
