Effective immediately, indoor operations for nail salons are permitted with modifications in California. For counties that are in the purple tier (widespread) such as Madera County:
- Nail services and physician-ordered electrolysis may now be performed indoors
- Tattooing, piercing, and non-medical electrolysis must close and cannot be performed outdoors
- All other personal services must be performed outdoors only with modification
