Witt Hawkins, Jr., 1939 – 2019
A man of faith and commitment to his Lord and Savior, Witt O. Hawkins Jr. enjoyed a life was well lived and he was well loved!
Born in 1939, the Lord called him home on May 12, 2019, in Oakhurst, California.
Witt was born in Chicago, Illinois to father Witt and mother Catherine 79 years ago.
Witt, his wife Pam and youngest daughter Wittney moved from Chicago to make Mariposa their home for the past 24 years.
This gentle, loving and caring man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be missed by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Pam, and his children Misty Estrella, DuJuan, Rolando (Mayumi), Heather (Chad) and Wittney (Tony), along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his mother-in-law, Gwen (Emmick).
Witt was the eldest of five children and also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
He is sadly missed by his family, extended family and friends and will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, unconditional love and his signature huge loving hug.
