In Loving Memory Of Vivian Ann Puhn Moulton

Vivian Pugn Moulton 2016In Loving Memory —

Vivian Ann Puhn Moulton was born on Sept. 17, 1943 in Fowler, California.

Growing up, Vivian and her family lived in many locations throughout California. Daughter of U.S. Forest Supervisor Walter Puhn, Vivian and her mother, also Vivian, along with two sisters, Tressie and Susan, and brother, John, lived in La Mesa, Del Mar, Dinkey Creek, and Fresno.

Vivian worked at Fresno County Juvenile Hall for the better part of the 1970s where she met her future husband, Mike Moulton. The two were married at the Highlands Inn, near Carmel, in 1971. Mike and Vivian moved to Oakhurst in 1975 where they owned and operated the Whispering Pines Mobile Home park for 25 years.

After selling the business in 2000, and moving to a new house on Buckskin Lane, Vivian worked as a teacher’s aide at Coarsegold Elementary School for 12 years.

Sadly, Vivian was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in April of 2014 and courageously battled the disease for two-and-a-half years. Vivian passed in her own home with her family on July 24. She is survived by her husband, John “Mike” Moulton, and children, Shana Michelle Moulton and Christopher Joseph Moulton.

Vivian was an active participant in the Sierra Mountains Quilting Association and a local mosaic art club. In addition to her artistic talents, Vivian was an excellent gardener, great with children, a loving wife, and the best mother anyone could ask for.
