MADERA COUNTY – The Office of Treasurer/Tax Collector for Madera County has issued an important notice to taxpayers about an error that requires immediate attention.
There was an error in distributing all Wells Fargo and Department of Veterans Affairs escrow account tax bills for the tax year 2014-2015.
The error was discovered after the office received several phone calls.
“If your lender is Wells Fargo or the Department of Veterans Affairs, and they pay the taxes on your behalf, a corrected file has been sent to our printer to re-print your courtesy notice, and mailed the week of October 13, 2014,” says the notice from the Tax Collector’s office. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
Taxpayers are advised to please disregard their prior bill and save the corrected statement for their records.
