Icy Roads Cause School Delays And Traffic Alerts

MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES–Hazardous conditions due to icy roads are causing school delays this morning. Also, traffic collisions and hazards are being reported. Please use caution on the roads and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.

Traffic Collisions

12:35 pm

Type: Trfc Collision-1141 Enrt

Location: Sr41 / Tenaya Lodge

Loc Desc: SR41 JSO TENAYA LODGE Lat/Lon: 37.473991 -119.638465

A vehicle has gone over the side of the embankment. An ambulance is en route. Search, and Rescue teams are reporting to the incident. Please avoid the area if possible.

 

8:00 am A traffic collision occurred on Highway 41 near Road 415. Two vehicles are involved, with some lane blockage being reported. An ambulance and tow trucks are en route.

Update 8:45 am

The roadway is now clear.

 

 

School Delays

1/30/23 – This is Robert Dias, MOT Director for Bass Lake School District, informing you that on Monday, January 30th, OES, OCI, Wasuma, and Fresno Flats will be on a 2-hour modified bus and class delay with students being released at normal time and not at the early release time, due to current road and campus conditions. We apologize for every inconvenience this will cause and ask that you be extra careful out there this morning. Thank you, and have a safe day.
