MADERA COUNTY — Seats are filling quickly for the free California Competes Workshop hosted by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz). Small, medium and large businesses are encouraged to attend the workshop and receive instructions on how to apply for this tax credit program.
The California Competes Program has approximately $200 million in tax credits available during the 2015-16 fiscal year for businesses that want to expand in or relocate to California. The next application period begins Jan. 4, 2016. This workshop will give attendees specific instructions on how to apply for millions in available tax credits.
The workshop is free and available to businesses of all sizes throughout the state, and will be held on Thursday, Dec. 10, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 3254 Airport Drive in Madera.
Recently, Madera manufacturer Baltimore Aircoil Company, applied for tax credits and was giving a $190,000 credit on an $8,513,000 investment. The company is also creating 46 full time positions.
