MOUNTAIN AREA — The North Fork and Oakhurst Head Start preschool programs are now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 school year.
Head Start provides a free, high quality preschool program for income-eligible children and families. School will begin on Aug. 17, so call now to schedule an appointment to apply.
For the 2016-17 program year, your child must turn three years old by Sept. 1.

You will need to provide the following documents: your child’s birth certificate, immunization records (must be up-to-date), Medi-Cal or other insurance card, and family income verification for twelve months (tax return, W-2’s, Passport to Services, Social Security, TANF, etc.). Income eligibility is based on the 2016 Federal Poverty Guidelines.
