OAKHURST — Timberline Gallery invites the public to join us for a fun event to honor Mother’s Day.
Eight Timberline artists who design and fabricate art jewelry are crafting jewelry pieces especially suited for Mother’s Day gifts. The Mama Mia reception will be Saturday, Apr. 30, from 2-4 p.m.
The exhibit will be on display at Timberline Gallery Apr. 29 through May 8, Mothers’ Day.
DiCiccos, Round Table Pizza, and Gold Mine Pizza are participating with us in this event. It will be a collaboration of local restaurants with the jewelry artists to honor mothers through the expression of art.
Participating jewelry artists are David Caris, Judy DeRosa, Elsbeth Felman, Gretchen Lee, Ray McGee, Richard Nelson and Merylyn Whited. Each jewelry artist is donating a special jewelry piece for a raffle, with tickets on sale at Timberline Gallery, and proceeds donated to the Children’s Museum of the Sierra.
Merylyn Whited, a member of Timberline Gallery since 1994, is a jewelry designer specializing in thematic art jewelry with a background in metal smithing and enameling. She works with non-ferrous and precious metals to create thematic jewelry, selecting semi-precious gem stones, found objects, natural and man-made materials in her pieces.
Any mother would be thrilled with a hand-crafted piece of jewelry, designed and created by local artisans.
