Grok Rock And Bodie 601 Play Music On The Green

By Andy Roberts —

MARIPOSA — On Friday, July 19 the Mariposa County Arts Council presents the progressive rock fusion act Grok Rock for Music on the Green. The band is led by Mariposa local and guitar aficionado Cary Greenamyere, who has been immersed in the Mariposa and Los Angeles music scene for many years. His band consists of musicians from Los Angeles and Mariposa. Be prepared to soar into the outer realms of sound and space.

On Sat. July 20, Bodie 601 will grace the Art Park stage. Based out of the Eastern Sierra, the band has been busy developing their sound performing at festivals including the Milpond Music Festival and the Good Old Fashioned Festival. They bring you a California folk sound with electrifying violin, upright bass, Irish drum and vocal harmony.
