Good News, Bad News: Bass Lake Lions Club

BASS LAKE — Members of the Bass Lake Lions Club say they have bad news and good news to share with the community. First, the bad news. With regrets, they are cancelling the pancake breakfast that had previously been scheduled for August 4-5.

“After forty-plus years, we are not able to muster enough able bodies to put on this two-day event,” say organizers. “We realize many of our friends and neighbors as well as visitors have enjoyed breakfast in the park with us under the multi-colored umbrellas for many years. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.”

Now, the good news. Bass Lake Lions club is launching a membership development campaign to increase the organization’s presence in the community and focus on recruitment, education and mentoring.

If you are interested in joining this dynamic, forward-thinking service club, please contact Ed Koehler at (559) 683-8220 or Tony King at anthonyking6814@gmail.com.

In the meantime, watch for the Bass Lake Lions club to represent in the village, in the park, at the Bass Lake Farmers Markets and especially at their Annual Home Tour on Saturday, September 8.
