Golden Chain Theatre Presents Spring Show

OAKHURST – From the same team that bought you Dark Deeds and Jack the Ripper, the Golden Chain Theatre proudly presents its spring production of The Miracle Worker by William Gibson.

The Miracle Worker dramatizes the volatile relationship between the lonely teacher, Annie Sullivan, and her charge, Helen Keller.

Trapped in a secret, silent world, unable to communicate, Helen is violent, spoiled, almost sub-human, and she is treated by her family as such. Only Annie realizes that there is a mind and spirit waiting to be rescued from the dark, tortured silence.

Make your reservations now for this heart warming drama about the inspired teacher and her challenging pupil, whom she must teach to understand language so as to communicate with her family before they send her to an asylum.

The show dates are Fridays and Saturdays, Apr. 4 & 5,11 &12, and 18 &19, at 7 p.m., and Sundays, Apr. 6 & 13 at 2 p.m. There will be no show on Easter Sunday.
