Getting Trashy Is Fun At Bass Lake Annual Spring Clean

BASS LAKE — Save the date for the Bass Lake Annual Spring Clean Event, set for Saturday, May 20.

Once a year, like-minded individuals dedicated to making the world a more beautiful place, gather at Bass Lake for a tidy fling known as the Bass Lake Spring Clean.

Volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at Recreation Point along Road 222 on the south shore of Bass Lake. The day use area is the gathering place for families, clubs, visitors and community members to help clean up Bass Lake shores and surrounding roads and trails. Just follow the signs.

California Land Management (CLM), parent company of Sierra Recreation, provides garbage bags, gloves, water and free lunch with drinks to volunteers.

Following lunch, prizes will be drawn from tickets earned for each bag of garbage turned in. CLM has a wonderful group of sponsors in the area who contribute items for work well done.

This year, organizers welcome back Skip Bullock as their Greeting Host and emcee.

Sierra Recreation is a Service Partner of the USDA Forest Service under a Special Use Permit, and is an Equal Opportunity Service Provider.
