AHWAHNEE – District 5 Supervisor Tom Wheeler will be hosting the next in his series of Town Hall meetings on Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Wasuma Union Elementary School Cafeteria from 6 to 8 p.m.
The night’s agenda will include Cal Fire Battalion Chief Troy Cheek, and a presentation by Roger Maybee, Madera County Firewise Coordinator.
Also, Emadco Recycling/Operations Manager Ashley Smith, and Deputy Public Works Director Ahmad Alkhayyat will talk about the county’s refuse collection and recycling program, and Jaime Holt of the Valley Air District will discuss the wood burning stove program.
John Quigley of the Madera County Planning Department will address the issue of grey water and rain water options for residents.
This is a chance for the community to have their questions answered about these and other issues of concern for county residents.
The Wasuma School is located at 43109 Highway 49 in Ahwahnee.
