Fresno Flats “First Friday” Lecture: Tony Krizan

OAKHURST — Fresno Flats Historical Park and Museum is kicking off the return of the free First Friday Lecture Series on, Feb. 2, with speaker Tony Krizan.

Krizan will present his more-than-a-decade-long quest to find the sites of the five P-40 fighter aircraft that crashed on October 24, 1941. One of these planes crashed not far from Grey’s Mountain Campground and Texas Flat. A slide show is part of the presentation and Krizan is popular speaker in our mountain area on this topic.

If you have not had the opportunity to hear him speak, or would like to hear the latest, please join us. Krizan has written two books about his various hikes in the Sierra Nevada, which he promises to bring and autograph. Admission is free.

Doors open in the Cunningham School house at Fresno Flats at 6 p.m. with refreshments, and the presentation starts at 6:30 p.m.

Fresno Flats Historical Park and Museum is located at 49777 School Road, Oakhurst, CA 93644
