The meeting will address various resources available to businesses, including the 2016 Basic Sales and Use Tax seminars and Online Filing Clinics available through the California State Board of Equalization.
The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to noon and will be moderated by an instructor from the Board of Equalization.
The meeting will take place at Yosemite Gateway Association of Realtors, 40298 Junction Drive, #B.
Participants will have an opportunity to learn about preparing the sale and use tax returns, how to file online, supporting and reporting exempt sales, and resale certificates, as well as taxable and nontaxable labor.
Those in attendance will also be instructed on ways to identify common mistakes, how to maintain adequate records, and why to “get it in writing.”
