MADERA COUNTY – Now is the time to get your garden in shape for spring and what looks to be a very dry summer.
Madera County Master Gardeners will be hosting two free events this month to answer questions and get you motivated. The first is a Garden Advice Clinic at Peters Brothers Nursery on Saturday, Mar. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer gardening and landscaping questions. There will also be materials and information to take home.
The second event is a Container Gardening workshop led by Master Gardener Sandy Hallam on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Madera Community College Center. Sandy will talk about how to develop and maintain a container garden and how to choose appropriate plants to work with.
There is no charge for these events and no reservations are necessary. Peters Brothers Nursery is located at 1135 South Granada Drive in Madera. Madera Community College Center is located at 30277 Avenue 12. The workshop will be held in Room R3-A and there is free parking in Lot C near the Three Sisters Demonstration Garden.
