Free Entry To Yosemite On Martin Luther King Day

YOSEMITE – The waterfalls are spectacular and admission is free to Yosemite National Park on Monday, Jan. 21, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Yosemite has experienced a magnificent winter thus far, with an abundance of snowfall throughout the park. The floor of Yosemite Valley is blanketed in snow and Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Fall, Vernal Fall and other waterfalls in the Valley are flowing due to the recent snow, especially in the higher elevations. Fees being waived for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day include the fees associated with entrance into the park only. All other fees associated with camping, lodging, or activities within the park are not waived.

Visitors coming to the park over the weekend, and on the fee free day, are urged to be aware of snow and ice on the roadway, and that chain restrictions may apply on all roads within the park.
