Free Chipping For Fish Camp Community

FISH CAMP – The Mariposa County Fire Safe Council is ready to help residents of Fish Camp become fire safe by providing free chipping of tree limbs, manzanita, deer brush and other large hazardous debris on Thursday, Nov. 12.

You must contact the Fish Camp Fire Rescue at donnatyosemite@sti.net or the Fire Safe Council at matkinson_mcfsc@live.com to reserve your free chipping.

If you pile your large hazardous debris along a route of ingress/ingress as described below, the Fire Safe Council will chip your piled hazardous debris.

To prepare your materials for chipping, please follow these instructions:

  • Mariposa Fire Safe CouncilAll cut parts of the limbs must be faced out (see picture) All piles must be within 10 feet of the roadway
  • Do not pile along a County Maintained Road
  • Piles must be no higher than 4 feet or wider than 5 feet, and must be free of any trash, metal, needles or cones, with no branches larger than 5 inches
  • If piles are not piled correctly, the Fire Safe Council cannot chip your piles
