Sandy and Barry Beeson were inside their home in the 32000 block of Road 400 when they heard a loud boom. Barry ran outside and saw flames shooting up from beyond their front gate.

A woman from Coarsegold told CHP that her Mitsubishi truck had stalled in front of the Beeson’s home. The driver was apparently getting assistance with her disabled vehicle when it began to smoke due to what she said was some issue with the battery and the fuel system. The vehicle burst into flames.

According to witnesses, the uninjured driver was walking away from the burning vehicle, north on Road 400, when firefighters saw her and had her return to the scene.
