A grass fire that consumed some 9 acres near O’Neals has been contained, controlled and extinguished, according to Cal Fire. The fire, which started on Wednesday near the intersection of Hiway 41 and Road 200, did not threaten any structures, and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
