Financial Peace Classes Start Soon

OAKHURST – Eric and Michelle Hagen will be leading a new Financial Peace class starting Thursday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church.

“I just have a passion for this because I believe so many marriages and peoples lives fall apart because of financial worries and difficulties,” says Eric Hagen.

“Our last class was so interesting. We had just about every demographic and financial situation you could imagine from young married to retired; from pretty solid finances to mountains of debt.”

Hagen says this is a very practical class and people who started really stuck with it.

“I don’t think there was anyone who left feeling like it wasn’t worth the time,” he says. “I saw couples begin to communicate and get on the same page as well as those who where avoiding opening their mail but decided to face their debt and find a plan for the future.”

Even in the short nine weeks of the class, Hagen says the class as a whole paid down debt and increased their savings accounts.

This class is taught by Dave Ramsey and the Financial Peace University teaching team on video and coordinated by the Hagens. It is designed to help participants achieve their financial goals by showing them how to eliminate debt, save for the future, and give like never before. Everyone will be challenged and motivated to make a plan for their money. Class will be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Child Care is available.
