These special events are called Trunk Shows because dresses used to be transported to these events in trunks. The vendors would bring their latest styles to be seen by the buyers, and from that, they would then order and wait for the garments to be made.
The workshop will be a hands-on experience working with Inktense by Derwent. Laura will provide fabric, Inktense pencils, paper towels and liquid mediums.
You are asked to bring CHEAP wedge brushes, a container for water, any other canvas you’d like to try, a stiff board to lay the fabric on, permanent marking pen, blue masking tape, and a simple photo you’d like to duplicate.
This is a form of ink, so please wear appropriate clothing.
This is also a potluck luncheon, so please bring some food to share. Members are asked for a $5 donation to the demonstrator. Non-members are $7.50
