FEMA has set up mitigation tables at Madera’s local hardware stores with brochures, pamphlets and information about how to build back safer, smarter and stronger homes.
There are tips on how to repair your home in wildfire zones, how to make your home fire resistant and how to protect yourself from the high risk of floods and mudflows. There are also building code resources and useful questions to ask your contractor.
This is a great resource for wildfire survivors as they go through the rebuilding/repairing process.
It is also always good to take extra precaution to protect yourself and property from any future disasters.
