FCFA Providing Free Wood Chipping for Fish Camp Residents

FISH CAMP — The Fish Camp Fire Association is funding a free chipping program for Fish Camp residents that includes brush, limbs, and small trees. This program is designed to help you (or someone you’ve contracted) clear a 100′ space around your home (or to your property line). This includes fuel ladders and small trees.

2022 Chipping Dates for Fish Camp

  • Sunday, May 22
  • Monday May 23
  • Sunday, June 12
  • Monday June 13

Please include your name, street address, phone number, e-mail address, and your chipping date(s).

The location of the pile must be in Fish Camp.

Specifications for Chippable Piles

  • The pile shall be no larger than four feet high.
  • Small trees may be no wider than five feet with butts no larger than 5″ and & up to 16′ in length.
  • The butt ends shall be facing and within ten feet of the drive or roadway (as seen below).

Pine needles, pine cones, old dried brush, or trees with dirt-encrusted roots cannot be chipped. Unfortunately, at this time, there are no means of collecting and disposing of pine needles.
