COARSEGOLD — Highway 41 is closed in both directions north of Yosemite Springs Parkway due to a fatal accident.
The accident occurred just before 4 p.m. No estimated time for reopening has been given.
Traffic is backed up for miles in both directions.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. authorities began to implement one-lane traffic control.
Just after 5 p.m. both lanes were open, with a slow zone through the scene of the accident. There will be intermittent stops when tow trucks remove the vehicles and crews clean up the debris.
