Fall Festival Comes to Spring Valley

O’NEALS –It’s fun for the whole family Friday, Oct. 19, when Spring Valley School hosts its annual Fall Festival and Fundraiser at the school, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Spring Valley School…How the West was FUN.” The event includes western, historical or explorer costume contest for all school ages, says Spring Valley Principal Kelli Bryant.“Our western night is going to be great this year with the addition of a roping station, miniature horses and a jail,” Bryant said. “If you are searching for a fall event that the whole family can attend and have fun at, then this is it!”

Horses, game booths, face painting, bounce houses and prizes for everyone are part of the fun. A cake walk will be held, and Ocampo’s Mexican Restaurant from Fresno has agreed to be here again this year to serve up their signature tacos and burritos. Chips, salsa, beverages and desserts will also be available.

While the kids are having fun at the game booths and bounce houses, adults can bid on silent auction items, including gift baskets prepared by each class. Auction items include car care kits, local gift certificates for products and services, and much more. Party kits will be available to purchase or bid on.

The Fall Festival is hosted by the school’s Parent-Teacher Club, to benefit all Spring Valley students.

“Along with having fun and enjoying great food, your attendance helps in funding needed educational activities, on-campus needs and other classroom projects that are vital for every child’s education,” Bryant said. “We really appreciate all the support from our families, but also throughout the mountain communities.”

Spring Valley School is on Road 200 just east of Highway 41. For more information, contact PTC secretary Tammy Hardcastle or Principal Bryant at 559-868-3343, or PTC President Todd Sheller at 559-230-7069.
