Expanding Agriculture Education

O’NEALS — The end of the school year is quickly approaching and that means it’s time for Minarets students to start registering for next years classes. New for next year is the addition of a few new classes to the Agriculture Education program.

Ms. Hall will be teaching an Agriculture Sales and Marketing class and Ms. Sweet will be teaching Introduction to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources. Another class that will be added is Agriscience Systems Management to help expand the agriscience program at Minarets.

Ms. Sweet explained, “I am so excited to be offering a new variety of classes so we can engage a different audience of students. With the addition of the business class, students can gain skills that will help them in and out of the classroom.”

Students will take advanced courses that help prepare them for a career in business or the agriculture industry. With this new extension, there will be a bigger variety of classes to pick from and allow students to follow different pathways in agriculture to find what suits them best.
