The Oakhurst Democratic Club will welcome Aaron Kern to the Nov. 2 meeting. Born and raised in North Fork, California, Kern grew up on a homestead turned farm where he lives off-the-grid, runs on over 90% alternative energies, and irrigates the farm from nearly all gravity. Because farms are some of the most interconnected and dependent upon the well-being of the environment and its natural resources, Kern decided to join the Coarsegold Resource Conservation District (CRCD) to be politically involved in the protection of resources.
A buffet breakfast is available for $8.00, starting at 8:30 a.m., and the program begins at 9:15. The public is invited.
