Join UC Master Food Preservers Wednesday from 9am-3pm as they step through canning, dehydrating and freezing as methods of preserving fruit to use throughout the year in your family’s meals. Learn how to make pickles from your fruits, how to can your own pie fillings, chutneys, and even syrups. We’ll show you the basics of making jams and jellies to use for more than toast and pbj sandwiches. If you’re not excited yet, we’ll share ideas for holiday gifts such as spiced apple rings, flavored vinegars, and fruit sauces. You’ll leave with lots of recipes and ideas to try on your own at home. Class fee is $15, light lunch is included.
