Back by popular demand! This month we are hosting two local children’s book authors, Karen J. Moore and Kathleen Gorman.
Karen J. Moore works in education and knows the critical role good picture books play in learning to read. Karen has five published child’s books. She lives and dreams in the foothills of the Central Valley. For you car lovers, Karen will be reading “Car Show Countdown”, a picture book written by Karen J. Moore, tells the story of classic cars that line up to toot their own horns in a friendly competition.
Kathleen Gorman is a retired reading specialist teacher who lives in Madera Ranchos. She graduated from CSU, Fresno, where she received her Master of Ars degree in Reading and Language Arts. The gift of storytelling runs deep in her family. Growing up in Central California, she listened to her father’s and uncles’ stories. Bits of their stories find their way into her storytelling. Sorry telling will be from 10:30am-11:30. Arrive early for a good seat.
In addition this month we have the amazing Mountain Artisans Market collective. This local group was created in January 2020 with the intent of offering a monthly venue for locally produced unique artisanal products. Recently joining forces with Fresno Flats Historic Village provides a wonderful opportunity to represent the spirit of our small mountain community. You can also enjoy docent lead tour of our historic buildings, and a 3D printing demonstration throughout the event. It’s going to be a great time!
