Oakhurst Lutheran will be holding its Annual Flag Day celebration on Flag Day- June 14- a Tuesday evening this year.
.
The celebration begins with a fund raising dinner for Semper Fi at 6:00PM. The dinner will include a pulled pork sandwich, chips, and water for a suggested $10.00 donation. All profits from the dinner will go to Semper Fi. The dinner is being co-sponored with a $250 grant from THRIVENT for Lutherans
The dinner will be followed by a Flag Day program that will feature lots of Patriotic songs, Pledge of Allegiance and a flag retirement/burning ceremony. The Flag Day program will take place in the Memorial Garden next to the Veterans’ Memorial at Oakhurst Lutheran, cross Rd 426 from PG&E.
This year we have have the honor of retiring Supervisor Tom Wheeler being our guest speaker.
