Yosemite New Life Church of the Nazarene in Oakhurst is sponsoring the animated film “The Star” at a Christmas Movie Night from 4 – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at the church located at 40390 Junction Dr.
This is a free event.
“Come and enjoy a cozy evening with us as we watch “The Star,” a 2017 American computer-animated Christian comedy film based on the nativity of Jesus,” said church pastor Derek Chase.
“There will also be hot cocoa, cookies, ornament decorating, and a special photo spot where family pictures can be taken” he added.
Directed by Timothy Reckart, the film features a small, brave donkey named Bo who yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day, he finds the courage to break free and teams up with Ruth the loveable sheep and Dave the hilarious dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his friends follow “The Star” on the adventure of their dreams, filled with lots of laughter – and become part of the greatest story ever told.
