Hosted by the EMC SPCA

The Central CA Animal Disaster Team is seeking volunteers to help care for displaced small companion pets, livestock and equines during wildfires and other disasters in Mariposa, Madera, and Merced counties. This free training prepares you to serve as an Animal Care Specialist or in other CCADT volunteer roles.

Training includes:
– Learning CCADT’s policies and protocols
– Coordinating with the county’s Animal Services and other emergency responders
– Caring for companion pets, livestock and equine in emergency shelters
-The Basics of emergency shelter operations
– Educating the public on disaster preparedness for pets
