Library Workshop: 2019 Medicare Updates

Susan Hatch, a licensed, independent insurance agent who represents all Medicare Supplement plan types will share her knowledge about “crucial” Medicare updates for 2019 at the Oakhurst Branch Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018.
The workshop will be held in the library’s Community Room at 49044 Civic Circle Drive, Oakhurst.
One of those updates concerns the new Medicare card being delivered this year to about 60 million Medicare recipients. Hatch said we’ve been told the reason for the new card is to stop identity theft by removing social security numbers from them.
“But, it looks like there is much more to the story than that,” she added
At the workshop, Hatch will share her opinion about what she believes are some of the “smart and not so smart features” of the new card as well as some of its current “mysteries and secrets” that people will want to know about. Talk about a cliffhanger.
Other crucial updates Hatch will address include Medicare’s “donut hole” or coverage gap in the Part D prescription drug benefit, what your birthday has to do with your Medicare choices, a hospital shortage of opioids or addictive painkillers and the new Clovis Community Cancer Center.
Hatch will also address whether single payer Medicare for all is good for seniors, Medicare’s new Plan G and new updates for Plan F elimination, President Donald Trump’s new healthcare plan, a Social Security cost of living adjustment, or COLA, scheduled for 2019 and more.
“This is information that Medicare insurance HMO plans rarely tell you,” said Hatch who has studied Medicare insurance for more than 15 years.
Hatch, who said she “wants to help people get their healthcare freedom and control back in their own hands” has educated thousand of seniors about the “raw truth” of Medicare insurance over the years.
Hatch is a well-known specialist in Medicare Supplemental insurance laws in California, is a talk radio guest expert on various Medicare topics, writes for the California Broker Magazine and was awarded the #1 Medicare Supplement agent in California.
The free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Oakhurst Branch Library. For more information, call the library at (559) 683-4838 or visit www.oakhurstfobl.com
